Five RTTY contests are on the schedule at this time. Last year, under AA5AU-Don’s leadership as RTTY Chairman, the W4AAW team won or set new NA M/M records in the Makrothen or JARTS RTTY tests.
On the CW scene, we are hoping that some adjustments in the microwave path to our Internet service provider will eliminate crippling audio dropouts in the RemoteRig audio. If this happens, we will be able to take full advantage of the superior group of CW ops lined up to use the K3/RemoteRig position.
Except for a few phone operators, we have almost no enthusiasm for SSB contests. We need to find and develop SSB ops so we can be competitive in all three modes.
In total there will be twelve contest efforts during the new season.
The station will not be available for NAQP or Sweepstakes except by special arrangement.
